On Paper Wings

Now here's someone who's really deeply passionate about his craft. How can I tell? He actually does stuff, rather than just talk about it – unlike me. Douglas Wilson from Springfield, Missouri and is a letterpress printer, Polaroid photographer and graphic designer. He's been shooting a series of Polaroids (as in, the real things, not any Instagram/filter effects/ digital vintage here) – of old hand painted type. There are loads of shots on Flickr, but his website is here.

Brad Vetter

Brad Vetter you have my respect and admiration for sticking to your guns and developing and maintaining a unique, intriguing typographic style. Anyone who's been sought out to design a little something special for an Anthropologie catalogue must have something good going on.

Monteith's Beer packaging

Would I buy a product just because of its beautiful packaging? Absa-bloody-lutely I would! The Monteiths range is simple, classic and communicates so well the personality of each flavour, whilst maintaining a clear visual system which shows how the various bottles all belong to the one family. A brand I'm very happy to devote to, luckily the beverages are delicious! Snaps to you, Designworks of New Zealand.

Graduate position at Boheem

Pssst. We have our eyes peeled at the moment for impressive graduate portfolios and are keen to meet with the wide-eyed, enthusiastic, talented people behind them. Haven't officially advertised yet, but get the feeling that very soon a Junior Graphic Designer position will become available at Boheem. No experience necessary; just a clever, conceptual approach to design, a happy disposition and a preparedness to help out with anything and everything. Send a pdf to Claire and Kass at jobs@boheem.com.au.
